SAT Answer Sheet

The SAT is considered, as one of the significant examinations, as it deals with the college admissions in most of the colleges/schools/universities in the United States of America. Answering those SAT questions is not that easy as it would be tricky, little complicated, would require strategies to solve the questions and many more of similar type twists and turns. Thus, it would not be enough to prepare for exam, rather it is very essential to prepare the logics and strategies of answering the questions that are put forward in the question paper.

There is a general SAT test and also subject specific SAT test, which are conducted for subjects like, mathematics, science, history, English literature, other foreign languages, etc… whereas, the SAT general test comprises of reading section, writing section and a separate category for mathematics subject. Thus, each category of SAT test demands separate and unique qualitative and quantitative solving abilities.

SAT Traps

It is always advisable to check for the traps and tricks in the questions before choosing the right SAT answers. At this context, it would be more appropriate to mention the traps that might occur in the critical reading and comprehension sections. The critical reading section contains spurious traps, i.e. many words in the question might seem to have some kind of positive relationship to the flow in the consequences of the question, but if you have a clear look, then you can understand that it just a fake mechanism and got to have nothing to do with the logic of the question and in turn, the appropriate SAT answer.

But, there is some good news too, i.e. the writing section doesn’t have any traps, both the multiple choice questions and the essay type questions don’t involve any misleading questions. The math traps are known for their twists and turns, as most of the math SAT answers would wrong in a right way, i.e. it would appear to you as the right answers, but if you check your workouts and verify, and then you can narrow it down on the fact that it is wrong. But to be frank, the candidates would not have enough time to check and verify. The SAT organizers are working on the math questions for a long time, you could rather think that they have done a research on math.

Hence, they knew perfectly about where the candidates would go wrong and how they have to provide the wrong questions in a right way! Hence careful preparation in the mathematics subject is vital!

SAT Pacing Strategies

First of all, it is necessary to target the score that one is ought to achieve in the SAT test, say for example, if a candidate is aiming for 700 to 800, then the candidate has to work differently on the approaches and methodologies of solving the math problems, and reading comprehensions, as these two categories are the most tangled in the SAT question paper.

And the candidates who are aiming for more than 700 should not leave even a single question in the SAT test, which means they have to prepare very well, hence they should avoid guessing the SAT answers and should strategize each SAT question. But the candidates should also keep it in mind about the negative markings for wrong answers (in case of SAT subject test) and the marks they would lose otherwise for leaving a question, as a blank one.
