Online Counselling

NCHMCT shall conduct on-line on-campus Counselling at 11 Centers viz. NCHMCT, NOIDA, IHM- Delhi-Pusa, DIHM- Lajpat Nagar, IHM-Mumbai, IHM-Chennai, IHM- Kolkata, Dr. Ambedkar IHM-Chandigarh, IHM- Hyderabad, IHM- Jaipur, IHM- Bhopal and IHM-Guwahati. NCHMCT reserves the right to add or delete any Counselling Center referred herein. For familiarization purpose, mock counselling viz., off-campus on-line counselling shall be held in the first week of June 2010. Applicants can participate in this mock counselling for familiarization from their home or cyber cafes. Counselling Schedule (real time on-line on-campus counselling) :

Process of Counselling (Ist Round)

i) Registration at counselling centre. (Please note the address of your counselling centre by downloading counselling call letter) and note other details contained therein.

ii)  Verification of eligibility criteria (10+2 or equivalent pass certificate with English as a subject), Age as prescribed for Secondary College; Category verification as per certificate specified in the brochure.

iii) Deposit Rs.9000/- as part fee through DD drawn in favour of National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology payable at NOIDA or Delhi. Also deposit Counselling fee of Rs.1000/-(non-refundable) through another DD drawn in favour of NCHMCT, payable at NOIDA or Delhi. Both the DDs should bear the name and JEE Roll No. of the candidate on the back of demand drafts. After depositing the DDs, the candidate should obtain computerized receipt for the same from the counselling centre.

iv) Carefully observe seats availability for different categories on the screen display at counselling centre and accordingly candidate should fill choices of Institutes in order of their preference. Before leaving counselling centre, please ensure to cross check that computerized slip generated indicates the choices exercised by the candidate. Hostel availability should also be checked from websites of affiliated Institutes before coming to counselling centre, so that candidates can also give their option for hostel accordingly.

Second and Final round of Counselling:

There shall be second and final round of Counselling after completion of the admission of candidates at the allotted Institutes on 6th July, 2010 to fill up vacant seats, if any. Details of vacancies shall be available on website www.nchm.nic.in . Candidates need not report physically for second round of counseling. The seats will be allotted as per the vacancies and candidates are required to download the allotment letter through website only. No physical intimation in this regard will be made by the Council.

Eligibility for Second round of Counselling

i)   Candidates who have exercised option of Institute(s) as per their AIR in the Ist round of Counselling but could not be allotted seat at any of the Institutes opted for and also did not withdraw their Counselling Fee;

ii)  Candidates who have allotted seat in the Ist round of Counselling but did not either reported for admission at the allotted Institute by the cut-off date and did not withdraw their Counselling fee shall also be considered for Second round of Counselling as per choice already preferred by them in the Ist round of Counselling;

iii)  Candidates who have completed on-line on-campus admission process in the first round of Counselling and also submitted their willingness in a prescribed format during Ist round of Counselling for upgradation of choice of Institute in the second round of Counselling shall be considered as against vacant seat, if any in the second round of Counselling;

  • A clear undertaking based on the format available on website www.nchm.nic.in is to be given by the candidate for consideration in the second round of Counselling.
  • Based on the undertaking given by the candidate for Upgradation in the second round of Counselling as per All India Rank shall be entertained for higher choice of Institute of Hotel Management only subject to availability of seat;
  • After allotment of the Institute, candidates who have opted to take back the refund of Rs.9000/- shall not be consider in the second round of Counselling;
  • Candidates who have not participated in the first round of Counselling shall not be allowed to participate in the second round of Counselling;
  • First semester fee deposited by the candidates after allotment during first round of Counselling and have upgraded their institute in second round of Counselling, need not pay the first semester fee again. Their fee shall be laterally transferred by earlier allotted Institute.
