Meeting of the Registrar & Finance Officers of the Central Universities

This is in continuation to my earlier d.o. letter of even number dated 8;" December; 2009 addressed to Vice Chancellor regarding slow pace of expenditure by Universities from out of the budgetary provisions available for the current year. In order to ascertain the assessment of utilization of expenditure under plan scheme, it has been decided to convene a meeting of the Finance Officer & Registrar of the Universities on 21st and 22nd January, 2010 in the UGC Office as per schedule enclosed. I shall be grateful, if you kindly send the latest position of utilization of funds released under various plan schemes of UGC alongwith the Utilisation Certificate in the enclosed GFR 19 A format (separately for each schemes i.e. XI Plan General Development Grant, Merged Scheme, Fellowship to Non-NET, Ph.D. & M.Phil, under OBC expansion (if applicable), Additional Grant, if any etc) alongwith the statement of expenditure to enable the UGC to have holistic view in the matter. You are also requested to bring 5 copies of the information in the enclosed formats on day of meeting. The required information may also be sent in advance by fax/e-mail (23232297 (fax)/renu@ugc.ac.in / vtalreja@ugc.3c.in). In the said meeting the status of finalization of Xth Plan accounts will also be discussed, you are, therefore, requested to bring all relevant documents in this regard. We look forward to discuss this issue with you on 215t & 22nd January, 2010.
