The counseling sessions will be conducted at KLE University, J N Medical College Campus, Nehru Nagar, Belgaum-590010. Open counseling shall be conducted in a transparent way in the auditorium after scrutinizing all the Original documents and also making use of Biometric analysis and Photo-identification of the candidates.
First round of counseling will be conducted from 7th March 2011 to 12th March 2011 (provisional dates) and second round of counseling will be conducted on 20th April 2011 (provisional date). FAILURE TO REPORT FOR COUNSELING ON THE SHEDULED DATE AND TIME WILL RESULT IN INSTANTANEOUS CANCELLATION OF A CLAIM OF THE CANDIDATE TO THE SEAT. It shall be candidate’s responsibility to see the result of KLEU-PGAIET – 2011.
At the time of first round of counseling, the candidate called merit- wise, may opt for any of the available seats in any of the subjects and the candidate may also opt to be in a waiting list, provided such waiting list is not exhausted at his / her turn. Such waiting list shall not be subject -wise. Those of the candidates, who have not opted for any seat and are desirous for opting of waiting list shall have to deposit the Demand draft for Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rs. Two lacs fifty thousand only) with the University.
A candidate who has been allotted a seat may also opt to have waiting list without depositing above said sum. No interest shall be claimed on the amount deposited for wait-list. Those of the candidates who opt for only waiting list during the first round of counseling through authorized representative, those candidates shall mandatorily be present physically during second round of counseling to undergo Biometric analysis & Photo identification.
If a candidate wants to take back his/her original certificates after he/she is allotted a seat in the first round of counseling, he/she may do so after submitting an undertaking stating that he/she will resubmit the same on or before 16th April 2011, four days before the second round of counseling, failing which his/her allotted seat will be cancelled and the resulting vacancy will be declared for allotment in the second round of counseling.
The candidate who has been allotted a seat in the first round of counseling must join the course on or before 5:00 PM of 16th April 2011. No request for extension of period for resubmitting original certificates or joining the course after 16th April 2011 shall be entertained.
PROCEDURE FOR SECOND ROUND OF COUNSELING:
Second round of counseling will be held on 20th April 2011 (provisional date) for wait listed candidates only. Only proportionate number of candidates based on available vacancies shall be called rank wise for second round of counseling. Original documents shall not be given back to the candidates after allotment of a confirmed seat in the second round of counseling. Wait list remain valid till 31st May 2011 for allotment against any vacancy arising out of any reason.
The candidate should remain present for the counseling & for on-the-spot admission, as per the schedule displayed on website, even though he/she fails to receive any information letter, for any reason from the University.
Only the candidate & one of his parents/guardian will be allowed into the hall where counseling is held. The candidates will be called in the order of their ranking in the merit list & offered the seats to the various courses available at that point of time. The candidate will be allowed to choose admission to any of the courses if a seat is available when his/her turn comes. 50. The candidate must note that appearance for the examination & inclusion of name in the Merit List does not necessarily mean that he/she will get admission to any course. His/her admission to a particular course will depend upon the availability of seats for that particular course at the time of his/her counseling.
The candidate in the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained by them at the KLEU-PGAIET-2011 will be called as per their ranks for counseling & on the spot admission to the various courses & colleges.
If any candidate finds it impossible to be physically present for the counseling due to unavoidable circumstances, he/she may authorize any other responsible individual to represent him/her at the counseling. This representative must carry with him/her the letter of authorization in the format given in Annexure – III as well as all the documents listed in Annexure – I. If the candidate or his representative fails to report for the counseling on the date & time mentioned in the schedule of counseling, his/her claim for courses will be forfeited. The choice of course made by the candidate, his/her representative will be final & binding & will not be ordinarily altered later. The Candidate must report physically to the University office, within 72 hrs of the allotment of a seat if authorized representative has appeared for the counseling.
The selected candidate will be required to pay the entire amount of annual fee on the day of counseling itself. (Through Bank Draft drawn in the name of Registrar, KLE University payable at Belgaum). In case the candidate fails to remit the entire amount of fees, he/she is likely to lose his/her claim for admission to that seat.
