KEAM 2011 Allotment

The activities related to the allotment to Professional Degree Courses for the year 2010-11 commenced on 04.06.2010 (Friday).

Candidates included under various rank lists can register their options on the Website www.cee.kerala.gov.in/keam from 04.06.2010 till 3 pm on 11.06.2010. Candidates who do not register their options will not be considered for allotment under any circumstances. The "Option Facilitation Centres" [OFC] and "Help Desks" [HD], having internet facility, will be functioning through out the State during this period for registration of options by the candidates. The details of such centers are available on the website, www.cee-kerala.org.

The schedule for the first phase of allotment is given below:

14.06.2010 to 17.06.2010 Candidates allotted to all courses to remit fee at selected branches of State Bank of Travancore (SBT)

The Students who are allotted to Private Self-financing Engineering colleges during the fourth phase of allotment will not be eligible for any other higher options. The Candidates who are allotted to Private Self financing Engineering Colleges will have the provision to cancel the allotment only till the end of the third phase of allotment which will be notified by the CEE. The candidates who get allotment in the Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges in the fourth allotment shall join the college. There will not be any provision to cancel the allotment to these institutions based on the fourth allotment. Candidates who get allotment to these Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges in the fourth allotment, who do not remit fee, and those who remit fees and eventually do not take admission will be penalized as envisaged in clause 12.2.4 (c) of the Prospectus.

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will be making allotment to the various Professional courses in the following Colleges in the First Phase:

Mandatory Reservation : Leaving the seats set apart for All India Quota, Government of India Nominees, Special reservation, Persons with Disabilities and Management, the remaining Government seats for each course in Govt./Aided Colleges will be distributed as per the mandatory reservation principle as contemplated in G.O. (P) 208/66/Edn. Dated 2.5.1966, G.O. (Ms) No. 95/08/SCSTDD Dated 06.10.2008 and as modified from time to time.

The existing reservation policy in Government, Government Aided Colleges will be continued. The seat reservation policy and fee structure applicable to other Self-financing institutions will be as follows:

Note:(1) In the case of the Private Self-financing institutions recognized as 'Minority Institutions', out of the 50% Government seats, 20% will be allotted to eligible candidates belonging to the Minority Community which runs the college,

on the basis of merit. In such institutions, the remaining Government seats will be allotted by the CEE as per the reservation pattern applicable in Govt./Govt.-Aided Colleges. (See Annexure VI)

(2) In the case of Self-financing Engineering Colleges under Government control and in Self-financing Engineering Colleges under Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi and Calicut Universities, 35% of the seats under Management quota also will be allotted by the CEE. The CEE will allot only 25% of the seats under Management quota, in the case of SCT College of Engineering, Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram. Allotment to these seats will be strictly on the basis of merit.

* The details of the fee concession for candidates with low income are given in Annexure VII.

The candidates who are eligible for fee concession will get this benefit only after the closing of admissions to MBBS Courses. Hence all students expect SC/ST/OEC/ candidates eligible for G.O. (MS) 25/2005/SCSTDD, dated: 20.06.2005 should remit the state merit fees. The excess amount remitted will be refunded to them.

Caution Deposit :

Candidates allotted under SC/ST/OEC Community category and those having benefit as per G.O. (MS) 25/2005/SCSTDD, dated: 20.06.2005 have to remit caution deposit at the rates mentioned below, as token of having accepted the allotment:

1. Engineering : Rs. 1,000/­2. Other Courses : Rs. 100/- *The candidates getting allotment are liable to remit the fee fixed by the Fee Regulatory Committee if the fee fixed on the basis of agreement between Government and Self-financing Managements is not approved by the Hon'ble Court or any competent authority.

The Government have ordered to reserve the following categories of seats as "Special Reservation Seats" in Government Sponsored Self-financing Engineering Colleges.

The allotment to Colleges / Courses will be subject to recognition of All India Regulatory Bodies / Affiliation from the Universities.
