The exam is expected to come into force from the session 2013-2014.

As per a close source, The exam will be divided into two phases, Main and Advance to be held in the month of April or May.

JEE Main will be an objective type exam, and will test comprehension, critical thinking and logical reasoning.

These examinations will be of three hour duration each and will be held on one single day.
