IPU CET Eligibility Criteria

21	d B.Tech. / M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Chemical Engineering d B.Tech. / M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Information Technology d B.Tech./M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Computer Science & Engineering d B.Tech7M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Electronics & Communication Engineering d B.Tech. (Information Technology, Computer Science & Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg., Mechanical & Automation Engg., Power Engg., Electrical & Electronics Engg., Civil Engg. and Instrumentation & Control Engg., Tool Engg. & Environment Engg. )	Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
22	d Lateral Entry to B.Tech. Programmes for Diploma holders (2nd Yr/3rd Semester)	Three-years diploma in any of the following branches of Engg./Technology with a minimum of 60% marks inaggregate from any recognized Diploma awarding institute/university/ board recognized by AICTE:- Computcr Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg,, Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing Technology, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making. Note: Candidates with Diploma in Architecture are not eligible for lateral entry to Engineering/Technology degree programme.
23	d Lateral Entry in B.Tech for B.Sc. Graduates (2nd yr/3rd semester)	B.Sc. Graduates with 60% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as a subject from any recognized University.
24	d B.Tech./M.Tech – (Dual Degree) – Bio- Technology	Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.

Compartment/Supplementary case(s) at any stage will be considered for admission for the academic session 2011-12 as per the following conditions only :-

(a) Compartment/Supplementary cases at any stage who have appeared for examination(s) and the result of the same is/are not declared by the time of counselling/admission, such candidates will not be considered for admission for the academic session 2011-12.

(b) In case the result of the examination(s) is/are declared by the time of admission/counselling and the candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions as mentioned above, then such candidates would be eligibile for the admission for the academic session 2011-12.

Age Limit

So.No.	Programme	As on 08.2011 candidate should not be more than
(i)	For all Undergraduate Programmes where entry qualification is 12th pass	21 years
(ii)	For all other Post Gradate Programmes where entry qualification is graduation	35 years
