University School of Basic and Applied Sciences

University has been established by Government of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999. The University has been accredited Grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University has earned ISO 9001:2000 certification.

Outline of the Program

Duration: 2 Years (4 semesters)

Number of Seats: 15 seats*

Eligibility: M.Sc. (Physics/Applied Physics /Electronics /Mathematics/ Chemistry /Biotechnology/Biosciences/Life Sciences); BE/B.Tech (Electronics/Computer Science /Electrical/Mechanical /Engineering Physics / Metallurgy /Material Engg. /Information Technology /Biotechnology /Chemical Engg. or Technology). Minimum 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree and Mathematics at +2 level is a must.

Admission Criterion: Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the valid GATE score. If the seats remain vacant after admitting students with valid GATE score, then admission for vacant seats shall be made on the basis of Common Entrance Test for NON-GATE candidates .

* 85% seats are reserved for Delhi Region Candidates. Seats reserved for regional category will be converted to open category, during 2nd counseling after exhausting the list of all qualified regional category candidates.

**Sale by post: Admission Brochure along with Application Form can also be obtained through registered/speed post. A request in this regard should be sent to the “Joint Registrar (Academic), Room No.108, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110403″ along with the following:

a)  An Application on plain paper, addressed to the Joint Registrar (Academic) requesting to issue “Admission Brochure-VI”. The application should clearly mention the name and the address of the applicant; The envelope of the application requesting for the issuance of the Admission Brochure must be super scribed at top as “REQUEST FOR ADMISSION BROCHURE-VI”

b)  A Demand Draft of Rs. 1100/- (Rupees One Thousand one Hundred Only) in favour of “Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University”, payable at Delhi. The name, address and phone number of the applicant should be clearly mentioned on the back side of the Demand Draft/Pay Order;

c)  A self Addressed Envelope of size not less than 24 cms X 30 cms

Submission of the filled form

Application form duly filled must be sent to: “CET Cell”, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Kashmere Gate, Delhi -110403.

The duly filled form must reach the above address on or before 30^th June 2010 by 5.00 pm. Superscribe this envelope clearly with “GATE/NON-GATE, Name of the Programme with its Programme code along with Test Code”.
