IACG JNTU MSc Multimedia Course Structure

IACG has structured the syllabus by keeping in view the industrial requirements to bridge the gap between demand & supply. The courses are designed by focusing on different fields and to launch a student as a professional in the industry.

M.Sc (MULTIMEDIA)

I  SEMESTER: Common tot all Specializations:

First Semester is focused more on the concepts like 2D Drawing, Clay Modeling. Digital Imaging and Audio & Video techniques. Business Communication is an essential paper, which is incorporated to help the students to express their thoughts and ideas in a very effective manner. Yoga is required to understand the human anatomy, flexibility apart from helping to maintain physical and mental stability, to get relief from the stress.The curriculum also throws a light on the elected specialization in this semester.

II SEMESTER: Specialization Elective

Second Semester onwards the students are taught based on their specialization area. Inputs provided in the first semester would help a student to choose the right specialization according to their interest.

ANIMATION & RIGGING

Students are given training in acting concepts along with anatomy. The basic principles of animation and rigging concepts are given prominence.

MODELING. TEXTURING & LIGHTING

This specialization focuses on Modeling, Texturing & Lighting concepts including Character Designing, Anatomy & Sculpting Techniques. Training is given on Photography. Manual and Digital Painting concepts for Texturing & Lighting Artist.

SFX & VFX

The major area covered are cameras and their usages along with compositing techniques coupled with the Manual & Digital Painting.

III   SEMESTER: Specialization Elective

Third Semester onwards the students are taught advanced techniques based on their elected specialization. The basic and intermediate topics learnt in the previous semester would help the students in polishing their skills further in this semester with the help of production mentors.

ANIMATION & RIGGING

Students are given more emphasis on the advanced concepts of animation with rigging covering in-depth methods of rigging techniques using programming.

MODELING. TEXTURING & LIGHTING

This specialization focuses on advanced Modeling. Texturing & Lighting concepts including Character Designing, Anatomy & Sculpting Techniques. Further training is given on Photography, Manual and Digital Painting concepts for Texturing & Lighting Artist.

SFX & VFX

The focus is towards the advanced and sophisticated usage of cameras, covering the essential factors such as angles, lighting, direction techniques etc. The concepts of dynamics which includes compositing techniques for a CG output are taught.

IV  SEMESTER: Common for all Specializations

This semester is common for all the specializations wherein all the students should submit their Live Project which is done in a learn. Then the student is guided to make their own profile for their future endeavors.
