The University offers through its constituent colleges, a three semester Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications for providing qualified work force to the industry.

Notes:

  • The result will be notified on the Department Notice Board and on the Website.
  • No individual communication will be sent.
  • Schedule for admission would be notified along with the result.
  • The Entrance Test will be conducted at University of Delhi Only.

1. Eligibility:

(a)     Examination Passed

Graduate in any subject and must have studied Mathematics at +2 stage of Senior  School Certificate Examination or equivalent thereto.

Minimum Percentage Required 50% marks in aggregate

(b) The candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of the degree on the basis of which admission is sought (as mentioned in (a)) are also eligible to apply.

(c) The candidates belonging of the following categories shall be allowed a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility requirements subject to production of a certificate as mentioned in (a).

(i)           Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes candidates.

(ii)          Physically Handicapped candidates.

(iii)        Children/widows of the officers and men of the armed forces including para military personnel killed or disabled during hostilities and who die on duty.

Admission under the category (i), (ii) and (iii) is open to Indian Nationals only.

2. Age Requirements:

(i)           No person shall be eligible for admission to first year of the PGDCA course in the University unless he/ she is twenty years of age before the first day of October of the year in which he/ she seeks admission.

(ii)          The Vice-Chancellor may relax the age limit up to the extent of one year on individual merit after a written request is made by the candidate.

3. Reservations: As per University rules.

4. Admission Procedure:

(i)           The admission to the course will be made through an Admission Test of two hours duration to be conducted by the Department of Computer Science, University of Delhi. The Examination shall comprise or Objective Type Questions.

(ii)          The Test consists of the following two tests: Test - I : Mathematical Test.

Test - II : Computer Science & Quantitative and Logical Ability Test. Each Sub-test consists of 50 questions and carries 200 marks. There will be one sealed booklet containing Test I and Test II. There will be one combined Answer Sheet for both tests and not two separate Answer Sheets.

(iii)        The syllabus for the test would be 10+2 level.

Note: In case, the decision of the Mathematical Sciences Courses Admission Committee will be final and binding on the candidates.

5. Admission Ticket:

The Admission Tickets will be issued by hand or by post. The candidate will be required to show the Admission Ticket at the time of the Test. The Department will not be responsible for any loss/postal delay of the Admission Ticket. No candidate will be admitted to the Examination Hall without the Admission Ticket. However, duplicate

Admission Ticket will be issued on 10th July 2009 such candidates should bring two photographs and serial No. of Application form after 12.00 Noon.

6. Important Points:

(i)           Rounding off fractions of a mark is not permissible for determining the eligibility requirement of a candidate.

(ii)         All admissions made to the PGDCA course will be provisionally subject to verification of their eligibility by the Mathematical Sciences Course Admission committee and confirmation by the University.

(iii)        Disputes, if any, arising out of or relating to any matter whatsoever, concerning the process of admission shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in Delhi only.

7. College Offering PGDCA Course:

The PGDCA Course is a full time, three semester programme and is offered in the following four colleges.

(i)           Acharya Narendra Dev College, Kalka ji, New Delhi-110019

(ii)          Deen Dyal Upadhyay College, Karampura, New Delhi-110015

(iii)        Keshav Mahavidyalya, Rani Bagh, Delhi-110034

(iv)        Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Vivek Vihar, Delhi-110092

Course Fee    : A Course fee of Rs.10,000/- for the complete course , in addition to the college fee.
